The project was to carry out due diligence on a potential acquisition of imminent interest to the investment house. The East Coast consulting firm was aware of Henke Associates' experience and expertise in technical software and professional services, and accordingly the consulting firm subcontracted the bulk of the project to Henke Associates.
Over the course of one month, a thorough, worldwide due diligence process was executed by Henke Associates, including a deep competitive analysis as well as a series of dozens of interviews with current industrial users of the potential acquisition's software & services as well as that of competitors. Prior to the commencement of the interviews, a detailed questionnaire was developed and perfected to guide the live conversations.
Finally, a written report was generated, including all the interview summaries and a detailed Executive Summary. In addition, 3-party final report conference call was held.
Both the East Coast consulting firm and the northeastern investment house were pleased with the speed and depth of the due diligence carried out by Henke Associates. They were also highly complimentary of the written report. The due diligence results independently generated by Henke Associates turned out to be fully consistent with separate research carried out directly by the investment house, and accordingly the Henke Associates' report helped cement the investment house's decisions.
